ABC Wednesday - I

Impatiens

This intriguing little annual is an ideal plant for pots or gardens in shady or sunny areas.  There are lots of individual varieties but I like the ice white in my planter.

They are indeed nearly finished flowering as they don't like the cold weather approaching us.  So for me it's time to beat indecisiveness and invest in some winter flowering plants.

  6. The larger impatiens that I see in stores here in the USA are labeled New Zealand Impatiens.

  7. I used to grow impatiens a lot in Perth, but since moving up here it is too hot for them. The whites are stunning.
