ABC Wednesday - A

A is for.....Abby

Abby is my Mother's awesome dog.  She is a Black Labrador/Collie cross and is about 10 years old now.

Abby is an amazing rabbit catcher and shows no sign of aging when it comes to catching her dinner.  She has a good appetite and is always available to attack any rodents hiding in the hay barn.

After a good walk or chase all a girl wants is to jump in the nearest water trough, and then shake on anyone standing around.

At the end of the day, Abby and Luke share an aerial view of the farm.

  1. Both Abby and Luke are beautiful dogs. I love labs. And wow the views are beautiful. The dogs must love running around there. Have a happy day and week ahead!

  2. Your Abby is adorable! Her face speaks of personality!! She reminds me of our Murphy...except we can't get Murphy to get rid of the rodents. If she would catch groundhogs, she would truly be treated like a Queen!

    1. Abby is no 1 at catching rabbits, the mice are a bit trickier but she will give it a go.

  4. Must admit I'm now a sucker for labs, having got ours last Feb. People tell me they stay "puppies" until they die. I know mine is forever wanting to play and be loved to death.

  6. Although I don't see any Collie in her, Abby is a beautiful pupper! We have a Golden Retriever who loves water too.
