I am green with envy! I too live on a beef and sheep farm but being across the Big Ditch in S.Australia, every time I have tried to grow a magnolia on the farm, the burning North wind from the desert has burnt it to a crisp just as it had leafed up.even when I had shaded them. I enjoy yours all the more.
