Blackbirds

I do love watching the Blackbirds getting busy at this time of year.  The birds are starting to pair up and fights and squabbles over territory can be heard.

The rain has bought the worms up closer to the surface and they are easy to hear and get to.

The male is keeping an eye out for cats and other threats while his lady has her meal.  They will be getting into nest building soon and after she has incubated the eggs he will be busy helping her feed the next generation.
