Frosty morning

The last week of autumn and we are starting to cool down.  We had a good white frost this week, but it gave way to a beautiful blue day.

The sheep aren't silly, they head to the high spots to stand in the sun and enjoy the start of the day.  Most of the sheep are up on the sky line except for the few that wanted to know what I was up to.

  3. I'm always amazed at how we are in one season here and yet you are in another totally different season there. Here we are edging towards summer while you're cooling down.
Loved that last shot of the sheep. I did a second take (also enlarged) and spotted all those sheep up on the sky line the 2nd time around. It's such a pretty scene.

  5. It sounds weird to hear about frost now, but it is your winter time there. I think the sheep found their happy spot in the sun. That is where I would be too. Lovely photos, have a happy weekend!

  9. So beautiful. It always startles me to realize that your seasons are opposite of ours. You think I'd be used to it by now.

  13. You have such beautiful and sensible girls. Here I have tulips poking their heads out of the ground and I fear for then with winter coming on.

  15. It would be nice to see some frost, or at least seasonal weather. Very mild here on the other side of the ocean. I like the shot through the trees.

  16. I never would have thought that New Zealand would get frost. Personally, I am looking forward to finally seeing the trees in full leaf here and flowers starting to bloom. We've had a long winter on the prairies of Canada.

  17. Autumn is always a lovely time of the year no matter what part of the world we are on. One of my favorite seasons. Great photos, such beautiful scenery. And we can learn a lot from animals by observing their behavior in bad weather can' we? Wonderful post!
