Visiting Easter Chickens

I had some unusual visitors early this week.

Four chickens arrived in the paddock alongside the drive.  I have no idea where they came from but they looked quite at home scratching around under the trees.  They weren't very "people friendly" as they scattered when I tried to photograph them.

Then late afternoon they flew up onto a low branch and roosted for the night.  I couldn't find them today when I went out, so I guess they have moved on.

  1. Funny, traveling chickens! It is nice they stopped by long enough for you to snap some photos.. The last shot is great, nice pose.. Thank you for linking up to the critter party. Happy Easter!

  2. Did they leave you an Easter egg? Funny to think of a traveling clutch of chickens. They are cute roosting in the tree.

  3. Feral chickens? I've never seen that before!

  4. looks like you were able to snap a few good pics of them before they moved on. what a treat to have such visitors. our neighbors have a few chickens and a rooster. they walk around in their yard and sometimes you have to watch because they walk in the road to. luckily it's a back road... have a great weekend~

  5. how very cute! happy travels to them!

  6. The color in the whitish orange chicken is lovely. I like how proud the chicken poses for the photos

  7. Wild chickens? Interesting. Happy Easter!

    1. Wonderful photos. Hope you had a great Easter.

  10. How cool to have them visit! I see them pecking beside the road and wonder where they belong, too. At least, you got a few shots before they disappeared.

Thanks for your comments, I love reading them and whenever possible, visiting you in return.
