Visiting Easter Chickens

I had some unusual visitors early this week.

Four chickens arrived in the paddock alongside the drive.  I have no idea where they came from but they looked quite at home scratching around under the trees.  They weren't very "people friendly" as they scattered when I tried to photograph them.

Then late afternoon they flew up onto a low branch and roosted for the night.  I couldn't find them today when I went out, so I guess they have moved on.

  2. Did they leave you an Easter egg? Funny to think of a traveling clutch of chickens. They are cute roosting in the tree.

  4. looks like you were able to snap a few good pics of them before they moved on. what a treat to have such visitors. our neighbors have a few chickens and a rooster. they walk around in their yard and sometimes you have to watch because they walk in the road to. luckily it's a back road... have a great weekend~

  10. How cool to have them visit! I see them pecking beside the road and wonder where they belong, too. At least, you got a few shots before they disappeared.
