This is a magnificent crab apple tree that fruits most prolifically.
It is said to be great for crab apple jelly but I haven't tried making that yet.
The fruit hangs on well into winter when the birds move in to enjoy themselves and empty the tree until it blossoms in spring.
Such luscious ones, I feel like biting into one of them.

ReplyDeleteYum! I love crab apple jelly. Splendid shots!
ReplyDeleteI once followed a recipe to make apple cider, went to pick some crab apples. Unfortunately, I follow the wrong instruction, rather I read it wrongly, wasted my apple. Had to throw them out.
