The trees are bare and there is snow on the hills - I guess it's winter.
Last night was the coldest so far this winter and we awoke to snow on the hills around us.
And more snow on the hills behind them.
Looking at the Rimutaka Hill Road which crosses the North Island from West to East (and back) and you can see how much fell last night.
More is expected tonight so we will be waking up to a snowy morning. We don't usually get snow down on our paddocks, but it was snowing around us this morning when we feed the cows. Not enough to settle though.
Looks beautiful with the snow covering.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, the snow does look pretty. You do have lovely views there. I hope the snow does not cause any problems for you! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting to have snow in New Zealand, I suppose you don´t get snow there every winter.
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks lovely. I like snow and I'm glad I live in a place were we get lots of it. : ) Our summer so far as been a rainy one. I'm ready for a little bit of sun.
ReplyDeleteOh that snow looks very "wintery" but being as it's summer here and very HOT I rather enjoyed seeing your snowy shots even though I'm not a fan of winter.
ReplyDeleteAmazing view :)
ReplyDeletewe don't get snow here in Tauranga however I have gone out several times in the early mornings and had to wash ice off the cars with cold water.
