The ABC of Spring

A...is for Almond Blossom

An early start to spring,

and much loved by the birds and the bees.

B...is for Babies

Nothing says spring like lambs in the paddock.

C...is for Cherry Blossom

I planted 2 of these for the Tui's.

They put their brush-like tongue inside each flower and get a good feed.

  1. Welcome to Nature Notes!!! I looked at spring and thought how much I wish we were heading into spring here in the states... but how beautiful your farm is and and the sheep are so adorable. My late Mother took a trip to New Zealand about 12 years ago and I have the most beautiful photos that she had taken. She just loved it and said the people were so friendly....Michelle from Nature Notes..

  3. You have a spectacular part of the world, it is like a dream. How wonderful it is to live in a farm like yours. Since my sister migrated to Auckland, I've always asked her to take photos. She's new there and just had her first winter. She is single and just live with her friends, but she is happy and is enjoying her life there. It is now my dream to visit NZ while i can still enjoy travelling and i love shooting your landscapes. Thanks for visiting my site.

Yes our area is fully free from modern technologies, so we have all the insects and butterflies, but we also have the diseases concomitant with the old world, haha!
